I'm also genuinely curious to hear more about what you learned from your Grandfather. My son is 7 now. What a gift your Grandfather passed to you! He was a disciple of an Chinese spiritual master, from what I was told. He taught the principle of Advaita, which translate to self-love in english. He taught me to love the awareness of myself by sitting everyday, and moving gently...And how is your father hood? I'm going to be a father in three more months, and I am so grateful to be able to pass this teaching down to save another life. Well it sounds like your child will be in good hands! Mazeltov to you. Prepare for a wholly seismic shift in your world. Actually, you can't really prepare for it. The most comforting words for the first year probably come from the Bible: "this too shall pass." Newborns can be extremely effective communicators. But even so, sometimes it becomes difficult to meet their needs and still have quiet or sleep or both. Fatherhood for me has been very challenging. My heart has been wrenched open and I now know a vulnerability I haven't ever known before. There also is a whole intense new field of regret available to me, it appears. And new facets of Love are everywhere. My understanding of 'advaita' is that it means not-two or not-duality. Self-love is a new meaning to consider. Maybe it's via Chinese.

Yes, that vulnerability is very difficult to understand if it hasn't been experienced...but that is essentially Why love is the absolute. Yes, not-duality..all things are within you. There is no, "me", and "out there"...so through the love you condition yourself to, all other things are seen naturally as Love.

I just wanted to clear a few things on why I'm choosing not to participate in this site. My reason for leaving is because I feel some people here don't seek spirituality sincerely. Granted, I do not neglect the greatness that I acknowledge in some beings here. But I feel as though they are caught in the scheme of existence, rather than realize the love that existence has to offer....All my threads were a product of my comprehension, I did not take them from another article or anything like that. I'm 26 years old, my grandfather taught me my path at 6 years old...i've been realized ever since. I only left because I rather not try and prove my claims to others who will never submit to the divine. There was No spitefulness in my heart.. I like your expression alphaa but there's lots of different kinds of spirituality, maybe part of your expansion at the moment is to mix with these other kinds. Stick around a while!

I don't know how many forums you've been on, but sincerity is a bit hard to come by anywhere. For what it's worth, I value it greatly, and I value yours. However, a good deal of tolerance for differing attitudes and approaches would be required here, and your perspectives would not go unchallenged.
