No, thank goodness. But, I figured they could've gotten a shipment of some fish from the area. or one of the millions of other types of mircobes that settle into fishes soon after death. What did your partner eat? We eat totally different stuff when we go there - she's a big clam person (but they're actually quite little) and crab, and I ended up having mostly soup with shrimp in it and fake crab and 2 or 3 other types of fish in it - very yummy)...she also ate the little crabs, which I don't partake.

The fish was funky ay? It probably came from America, and wasn't really fish. Yeah, it was really fish - but it didn't say where it was from.

Thanks for the share, Ag. A couple weeks ago, a friend and I went to the big aquarium in Long Beach, where were speaking to one of the caretakers there about the slew of www.npr.org/2013/04/09/176586940/starving-baby-sea-lions-flood-southern-california-shores. Apparently, the reason they're abandoned is because the parents are moving elsewhere to find fish, as the local fish population has dried up, and we were wondering if that had anything to do with the Fukushima thing. They said that they didn't know for sure, but that such was a possibility. Radiation in the Pacific is mostly focused around the site of the disaster, but with currents being as they are, we might anticipate more stuff like this happening. In any event, I agree that we might want to be careful what kind of fish we're eating. I'm still munching on the salmon (particularly the Atlantic variety). But, at this point, anything else is pretty much a no go. If you're a pescatarian, I'd suggest adding iodine to your diet. What's a pescatarian? I never heard of it. (I am an Episcopalian, though.) pescatarian Someone who abstains from eating meat and poultry but eats fish. In other words: A vegetarian that eats fish. Many people don't believe pescatarians have a right to say they're vegetarian because fishes are animals and animals have flesh. And if you eat flesh you are not a vegetarian. What ads? Where? You mean, for fish?

Ever since 1-2 days ago, I've been getting these little boxes popping up with either still ads or minimovie ads OR certain words will have a link to a small ad - it is super-annoying. You mean I'm the only one? That can't be, can it?!

If they popping up on your desktop, two things-- 1. Don't ever click on them, in the window itself (be very careful, because some ad companies can be tricky about this by putting a 'close window' button in them). 2. Make sure your anti virus definitions are up to date 3. Get yourself and run a decent registry cleaner (I use Easy Cleaner--it's free).

When I'm trying to read posts here on the forum, is what I meant. Just as I was about to respond to your post, one popped up in the lower right hand corner, for example. And words almost anywhere in the forum one or two words will be a link to some sort of silly ad. My apt mgr was messing about with my computer - he's a geek and used to fix computers for a living (and he's really a smart guy - or at least he's impressed me as such), so I'll ask him about this.

Okay, so, in the forum window itself? If you're not using your browser, do you still get the popup ads? Okay, this is starting to sound like a forum format thing, which I'm unfamiliar with. I would still advise cleaning your registry, though. Uh-oh. Is he a pescatarian?

I had that happen a few days ago, after installing a new freebie program. I had to hunt it down and uninstall the offending ad program from my control panel.

No green - just double-underscore blue links - Top just told me in another thread that I had (my browser) had been infected w/malware. Grrrr.

Probably, yes, but in some cases, you can clean the malware out of your registry with a registry cleaner. Seriously, it's easy. personal.inet.fi/business/toniarts/ecleane.htm

it might be an easy fix. go to control panel >> uninstall, then arrange by "installed on", see if there's any recent stuff that you don't recognize, especially on the day that guy was messing with your machine
