Why is the adult area empty? Shouldn't all existing threads be here? Wait, I thought this was the children's area, where all the derelict kids could play without the adult supervision?

Why is the adult area empty? Shouldn't all existing threads be here? The questions are misconceived. Just to throw in a question here: This forum has about 2,500 threads. Who decides what thread belongs into the adult area and what thread into the kids area? That is why I suggested it would be easier to turn this section into adults and let the new area be the kids area. But if it's the other way around, Peter is going to have to do some extra work in clarifying the boundary as people contribute and enforcing the boundary going forward. Applying the distinction retroactively would be a waste of time.

I swear, I'm gonna have my decedents sue this board, if I end up dying of laughter. You have decedents? Do you keep them in your freezer or how does that work? I can't imagine the dead or even the undead being much help in a legal battle. Hmm, zombie courtroom drama... I might pitch this one to NBC. Chief zombie prosecutor approaches bench, lurchingly, and turns towards the jury: "I am a mere zombie, with profoundly reduced cognitive function and an insatiable thirst for brains." <Stares leeringly at each jurist.> "But even I can understand Beingist's decedents' argument against this filthy online forum..." <reaches over and grabs the court reporter who screams as he's pulled over into the gaping maw of the chief zombie prosecutor....>

I should say that's where you'd get the most opportunities to throw dirt clods, etc. Hey Peter, can we say stfu here? Will that be allowed?

It doesn't seem that difficult to me. In practice there will be paralell threads in some cases -- overlap -- and not in others. But he's only moderating posts that end up in the moderating area.

Seems a lot of folks are going to have 2 personas from now on, one for the kids sections, one for the adult section.

Will that be allowed? Here, Silver my love, you can type it out in full if it would make you happy. I've avoided the terms "Adults" and "Kids" in my various discussions. This is an unmoderated area where you can swear, have hissy fits, throw dirt and generally act without either restraint or concern for the consequences and probably get away with it unless ProBoards pulls the plug on the whole enchilada. You're welcome to form/have/keep your own opinions about what is adult and what is not. To answer Reef's question: All threads up until this point have been moderated (more or less) so unless there is a particular reason to make them unmoderated, then they'll stay where they are.
