Okay. Say I want to make an animated Gif of a portion of another movie - I'm thinking Patch Adams.....how do you do it? The wiki link didn't say how it's done - or I missed that part. I turn to the all knowing Google when I don't know how to do something technical. The trick, though, is coming up with the right search terms: www.google.com/search?q=how+to+make+an+animated+gif+from+a+video&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en&client=safariI don't know how. Usually you need a tool and to have the video clip you want already as a digital movie.

Here's his jump set to Boards of Canada: (I think that's andrew in the tube The music in this brings tears it's so beautiful to me. I'm about halfway thru TPON and I am experiencing some good, some bad reactions to what is said, not to mention struggling with what some stuff means. This part I came upon today I like: "To disidentify from thinking is to be the silent watcher of your thoughts and behavior, especially the repetitive patterns of your mind and the roles played by the ego." The silent watcher. Has a nice ring to it. What I'm getting from here, this place, and the book is that we are not our bodies. I've read enough of the book to understand what that means pretty well. What some might refer to as our spirit - our innerbeing - our soul energy, etc. and not to become to attached, or fond of it. Now they tell me! All these years, I've become fond and attached to my loved ones, even my 'enemies'! I've lost several people in my lifetime - my brother was 18 when he was killed in a car accident 4 days before my 14th birthday. My grandma, although I was too young to appreciate the loss and there was little pain. I remember standing on my tippy toes to see her in her casket. Just curious. My dad, 75 in '75. My mom 64 in '83. My son - my only son, Sean - almost 23 years old on Valentine's Day of 2010. That last one was the hardest. After pondering all the new stuff I'm learning from the book and from you all out there, this not becoming attached to the body was something positive that I recognized, but while thinking about all this new information, I cried a lot, probably just starting to fully comprehend the magnitude of this. I argued with *no one* okay, if we are some ball of energy, what becomes of my Sean, my mom, brother, etc.? I 'know' them. What is there to 'know' of a ball of energy? No personality, or what? Will we all just recognize each individual some how or not? Do you know the answer to these questions? I sorta doubt it, but you never know... What will become of 'us'? Just golden things ? I pictured in my mind how our bodies die, animals, plants die, this substances we're made of - I think of in terms of clay - it just all gets kneaded back into a ball. We become sort of nothing - we depart from the clay. I just want to be able to recognize my loved ones. Will that ever happen?

Out of interest what's TPON? The Power of Now, but at first my mind misread it as tampon.

Okay, so I've just been reading in tpon that to go within to find that inner being (?) or whatever people here want to call it, spirit, you have to go within - and yet some were saying that you don't go within nor find anything. It gets very confusing around here with all the seemingly conflicting terminology, but I'm not going to give up trying to understand how this all works and fits together. It was interesting and helpful in the book when he said to pay attention to the silence between things. It does seem to help me 'find' my inner thing, the 'gold' so to speak. I sometimes hear a neighbor's dog a few houses down, howling so lonely from time to time, and I 'feel' for him. I find this remembrance very useful for being mindful of that silence between 'noises' because it's usually at night when I notice it when I go to the bathroom.

It gets very confusing around here with all the seemingly conflicting terminology, but I'm not going to give up trying to understand how this all works and fits together. The words are all like crudely made signs that are posted in the jungle that point to the same clearing. It might have an arrow and say 'Clearing' or 'spaciousness' or 'freedom' or 'safety' or 'sunlight' or 'soccer field' or 'grazing pasture' depending on who made it and what their interest and understanding is of the clearing. Some of the signs may interest you and some repulse you or confuse you, but they all point to the same place, unless they don't. What we 'resonate' with is whatever aligns with our interest and understanding, and doesn't necessarily say anything about how accurate it is or how helpful it is to us. Some signs point deeper into the jungle and you really have no way of knowing which is which, so you'll follow the signs that interest you and see where they lead.

First, you will have to find out who/what you ARE. Then, you will discover whether anything is lacking. Who is it who wants anything? Search for the source of wanting.
