Nice. This is where all the tools for distinguishing worldly perceptions/conceptions of freedom, love, peace, etc, like capitalizing words and such, come in as somewhat handy. Unfortunately, the distinction is lost on most who have not quite seen what the caps hope to allude to and/or are entrenched for the dramatic defense of self/volition/separateness... The thinker thumbles and flails. Not up not down nor right or left. Not two is not four. Not bitter, sweet nor sour, not father sun nor holy ghost, not first or last or anything in between, not yesterday, today or tomorrow. Not two is not three. Neither hot or cold or joy or sorrow, hard or soft, free nor bound, not good or bad or wet or dry. Neither known or unknown. War and peace is not enough as not two is not two. Not two is not "One". No perspective or any orientation or ordering can form the basis of a description that applies. The mind is on notice of an elusive indeterminism that although not separate from, it doesn't have, isn't a part of and is not within.

my buck and a half life got me a manicure after eating at Smash Burger the Chinese girl said something after clipping and filing my nails I'll be damned if I understood her I was saying, 'I want clear polish' she was saying whatever it was she was saying, we went back & forth when suddenly, from my left from the lips of a lovely Puerto Rican woman one day after the Puerto Rican Day Parade, mind you, came the words, 'she wants seven dollars' after I thanked her with, 'you must be a veteran around here' she smiled and I paid eleven dollars we all smiled and I was greeted with the most exquisite hand massage she wove her tiny fingers into my larger ones with a little cream and I smiled from the inside out she then applied the clear polish then moved me to the drying table I placed my nails underneath and she proceeded to massage my back and I ascended to the little heaven I visited before I said goodbye to the Chinese lady and the gorgeous Latina and went to get me an iced Hazelnut coffee and thought to myself I love my buck and a half life my pockets full of money I had to pay out and my nails gleaming in Tuesday's half-light did I say it was clear polish? let's face it I've become a sleepless one .. went to bed around one and to hasten dreamtime I put on the Rock & Roll Induction Ceremony for 2014 .. dropped a few tears for Linda Ronstadt as I watched EmmyLou, Bonnie, Cheryl and some others bust the hell out of some of her songs .. Linda wasn't there due to health concerns but 'it was so easy to fall in love' with her cut-off, barefoot self way back a long time .. cried when 'Yussof Israel' (Cat Stevens) came out, I rode the peace train through the wild world and listened to a father giving a son some sage advice, 'look at me I'm old but I'm happy .. cried again for Peter Gabriel and Bruce and the band and Hall and Oates .. even shed a tear for Kurt as the remaining members of Nirvana shred it up with the help of Joan Jett, Kim Taylor and Lorde .. fuck, how you gonna sleep after that? .. then I semi-watched Charlie Darwin's fight with the fundies .. quite interesting really .. if you get a chance watch both of these shows .. finally fell into heavy dreaming where I was barbecueing (sic) and some pesky kids were breaking my balls .. then there was some kind of American Idol in Hell show that I was somehow involved in .. it was generational in that the oldest went first and so on right down to the youngest .. it seemed the very youngest were the most vile .. then I had to rescue my wife from some sex trafficker or something .. I was wailing away on his head, right, left, right, left when I woke up .. that brings us up to 5:00 AM .. I fell into some troubled sleep and reawoke at 7:50 AM ..cut to reality? .. had some coffee and went to the bank and retried getting some dough out the ATM and it refused me again for the fourth time .. so I marched into the bank, card in hand, and demanded to know what was happening .. she took my card, asked for my ss#, looked it up and calmly told me the bank had cancelled my account .. I very calmly asked why and was told me I had a lot of transactions for $.99, $1.99, $2.99 and the like and since the bank couldn't verify these large transactions, they went ahead and cancelled the card .. I'll get a new card in 7-10 business days and I was able to withdraw some money the old fashioned way, enough to pay some of my creditors .. gotta love my buck and a half life ...

CG 6/11/14 On the smallest of days in the lightest of ways It's the little things for sure, those casual moments All the people around us, going about their business All the people around us, who serve us by serving themselves and some paymaster Sometimes we catch their eye, if even for the briefest of flickers Other times there's even some conversation At the accidental knowing of life lived just rowing Just doin' our thing, just lifin' In those moments, in those eyes, there we are.

little things
that curl of hair at the nape of her neck the curve of her shoulder her colored, painted toes
the old homeless guy who's pissed himself but nonetheless greets you by name
making friends with the waitress the one who makes your iced coffee
or the sun peeking behind a cloud then burning through in all its gaseous glory
the shadows the light at dusk the girls in summer dresses a well dressed man
how a woman works the magic of putting her hair up effortlessly, magically
the sun rising or setting moonlight on the water stars in the heavens
love in your heart

in the field of knowing did I come hence this way in some long ago unknowing I do not quite know reach! reach! but it scatters away! leaving us with nothing more we can say restless we might seek a place we can go demanding we are of some thing we might know but standing still in a silent refrain letting skin stand in the cool driving rain a reminder we find of what that we are is neither here, there, near or so far

eyes to see we question ourselves better we should question our teachers who had it all wrong oh, they were good at practical matters like spelling your name or the right change from a dollar but when it came to affairs of the heart things of the spirit, they failed miserably these are things that can't be taught things we must come to on our own instead of listening to the abc, the 1-2-3 of it far better to go it alone with our guardians on hand should we falter, should we fall what we learn, nay what they teach is fear, separation and jealousy we suckle at the breast of envy the teat of competition so its no wonder that we're anxious no wonder that we're scared separate and incomplete better we should rail at our teaches who learned it from their teachers all the way back and all the way forward an enclosed and impenetrable circle funny thing is the way out is the way in feel the pain of it all, the aloneness don't try to change it or make it better it is enough just to feel it for now and soon enough, the veils will fall away there is no special knowledge gained but a lot of knowledge lost we come back to this, only this and we smile as a gesture of love love without clinging love without motive and love without name there is no other freedom charlie giardino 6/23/14 Deep water Charlie.

the dust shakes off so easily as it falls it seems to plea but .. the mind that has no place to rest bears no target, sees no test the world transparent in a hand that seeks no firm a place to stand is a wonder light with space appearences are naught but toys in contraction hides the lie in hate the jewel is in the sty secrets are buried under all that noise covered with the film of race what is it that you think you hear? what is it that so led you here? what is it that draws you to stay? this place you cannot be away. the water it rolls down his back he knows no emnity nor lack here in a sacred quiet place entice he does with just a taste light through ice it is a sight as cool as clear as it is bright but what it is you think you see it is not you, it is not me

belly wisdom
love is there despite the conditions gratitude moves the heart its that feeling in the belly
a fullness, an emptiness words just obscure fall into the body dive eighteen inches
and be prepared to be soaked in grace to be drenched in wonder be empty to get filled
the mind goes on chattering but that belly wisdom cannot be equaled get yourself to the desert
