Harry's opinions may be valid, but we don't have to listen to his foulmouth formulations of them. For some reason Shawn left me with some moderator functions intact, so I decided to use them. I sent Harry's posts and his ISP to Ignoristan. ;D ;D

I sent Harry's posts and his ISP to Ignoristan. ;D Without a warning? Nope. The last time we had someone like Harry show up, despite a warning, he posted about fifty obscene messages overnight, and it took two hours of reading through threads to find and delete them all. This guy's posts were almost identical in flavor to the nut job that attacked fifty different threads. Lemongrass was a less severe case, and a warning caused him to clean up his act (at least temporarily). It's a judgment call. If you think a warning would work with Harry, you can unlock his ISP, send him a PM, and see if his response offers any hope for a civil discussion. From what he posted I suspect he's a hard-core RT-type-- arrogant, crude, foul-mouthed and unwilling to abide by any rules of civility.

I am writing on behalf of Harry Duran (harryd), who is unable to post at the forum, or even to message a moderator, because he was recently banned from your forum without a warning. The thread he started (Snap the X out of it) was removed after he received an admonition from a moderator, Peter, saying that a line was crossed, due to a perhaps impolite comment harryd made to a poster. Harry responded playfully but not offensively. The next time he tried to log on he found that he was banned.
Harry has kept screen shots of the destroyed thread - in case you would like to see it.
The thread had received some positive feedback (as has Harry's writing in other places), and yet Harry was banned without any clear explanation, either privately or publicly at the board. This, he thinks, is likely to alienate the readership from the admin at the board, which surely is not a desirable outcome. Harry may be feisty and deliberately reactive, but that is only part of his communication method. He wants you to know that he is on the same team as you are, working for the common good and the removal of all obstacles to enlightenment.
He asks that you explain the reasons for his rude removal, and whether this is your usual policy: to ban a person without warning and without explanation. If so, he is curious how you can justify this policy at a supposedly free-thinking spiritual forum.
Thanks

Harry's "communication method" is unnecessary in terms of communicating truth and creates a hostile environment. If he would like to come back and play nice, I'm all for it.

Thanks Neptune: The last time someone posted the kind of posts that Harry placed on the forum, the person was given a warning. After the warning the individual posted about fifty obscene messages on a large number of threads overnight, and it took a lot of time searching through threads and deleting what the person had written. If Harry wants to come back and enter the discussions without throwing insults and obscenities, he will be welcome.
