Anything that can be observed is not THAT. And I do mean anything; trees, clouds, flowers, the sound of the wind, thoughts, the ego story, etc.
Anything that can be observed is not THAT.
You are THAT, but anything that can be observed is not THAT.
THAT cannot be observed. It is the subject.
But here is the big miracle; THAT can observe itself, not as an object, but as THAT observing THAT, subject observing subject.
You are what is observing, not what is observed. - The Buddha
Nothing that does not exist in deep dreamless sleep is real. - Ramana Maharshi

Enigma, why the sour face?
You are THAT = true
You are not THAT = true
"That which is not present in deep dreamless sleep is not real." -Ramana Maharshi = true
"Enigma the spritural teacher" is observed during waking hours.
Where is "Enigma the spritural teacher" in deep dreamless sleep

Hi seaside.
Do you know all this to be 100% true down to your bones?

Hi karen,
I will answer your question if you will answer mine. Do you have any bones?

Hi karen,
All these bodies appear to have bones.
But, you are not your body.
You are not a body that has consciousness.
You are consciousness that has a body.
And the thing is, there is only ONE consciousness.
As to my answer to your question:
Is a statement such as "I am THAT" "100%" true of false? It depends.
It depends on what is being referred to using the word "I"
It depends on what is being referred to using the word "THAT"
When you say "I", are you referring to the bony body?
Or, are you referring to what you really are?
Does what you really are have bones?
Thank you for the interaction.

In my many interactions throughout the day, when I say I, I probably am referring to the body as you say. When I'm brought back to inquiry: I don't know who/what is I.
The reason why I asked you the initial question was to see if you are using learned knowledge or embodied - realized knowledge. If the former - I was pointing to the possibility to get real and go deeper as the learned intellectual knowledge of this is all internally consistent and logical, but it is hollow.
I learned a lot in seeking. I started getting real last year.

What you are calling "realized knowledge" is not really "knowledge". It is just realization.
What you are calling "learned knowledge" has to do with acquiring and storing information /about/ realization.
The answer to your seeking is in your statement "I don't know who/what is I"
It is so fortunate that you know/don't know this.
Repeat that statement to yourself with the utmost sincerity.
For an instant after you finish the statement,
There is an empty no-thing awareness there.
That is who/what you really are.
And, it has no bones.

klaus,
The two quotes below are from one of your previous posts.
"This "something" inside I can best describe as a sentient Presence."
"I now realize that Presence is our true nature which is THAT."
Does this Presence you speak of have bones?

seaside, Bones or no bones what does it matter? How many angels can fit on the head of a pin? I tried it one time and was able to get 65 for a short while before two fell off. It might be a record, not sure, though. SS: As to the "sour face" I was sure it was a silly face but if it's sour, I'll happily retract it.

enigma,
My mistake. Silly not sour. ;D
Identifying with the bony body = Identifying with the finite
Identifying with klaus's "sentient Presence" = Identifying with the infinite
