Hi, does anyone else have experience with the low key spiritual 'teachers' Scott and Mary Lambert? I don't know how active they are now but they have been 'teaching' a lot of people, mostly in Australia but other countries too.
They don't generally advertise but pick up on people they meet. I wanted to put it out there because they have some very messed-up ideas and people should beware.
They coax 'repressed' memories out of people in order to 'free' them to open up spiritually. They have damaged some people and can take people to very dark places with no real sense of responsibility.
They teach a kind of bizarre advaita/christianity/new age hybrid which is quite superficial really, but newcomers to spiritual thought might be vulnerable.
They appear quite nice on the surface and didn't charge when I met them. This can prove to be a further lure though and you can get a lot more than you bargained for, though money doesn't seem to be their issue, but rather perversion and power.
Let me know if you have come accross them and what your experiences were.

Definitely. I don't have a grudge against them but I know they are out there, potentially messing people up and it's hard to know what to do about it. Particularly as they keep a relatively low profile, though known in spiritual 'circles'.
So it would be interesting to talk to others who have experience of them and though they might now have gone towards the light people might find it helpful to think twice before they go down their road.
Thanks for replying! My first tiem on a forum.

Welcome Insight! Nice to have you here. I can understand how frustrating and disappointing it is when a teacher that you put all your faith in lets you down. I think that particularly highlights the importance of always listening to your inner knowing. You can resonate with something a teachers says, and that is valid and important. But you have to continue to be Aware of your own deepest level, because the teacher can then say something that doesn't resonate. And it's important, if you feel like that's wrong for you, to consider that possibility. Or maybe it's something that you will interpret differently or appreciate later. Either way, you have to respect your own boundaries, because, ultimately, no one can do that for us, even the most Enlightened Master. Not saying that you don't already know this, but it's an important discussion from my perspective..... Definitely. I don't have a grudge against them but I know they are out there, potentially messing people up and it's hard to know what to do about it.
