This will be my last post. I have concluded that these posts are nothing but mental masturbation. Just another trick of our minds to procrastinate, We talk in circles about this and that and get nowhere- not that there's anywhere to get to, but this is a waste of time. Do yourself a favor and just sit alone and shut up and ask the Giver of all existence from time eternity to wake itself to itself. And the cost of that experience is the very self you keep trying to preserve! Your gift of life is temporary and will be like dust in time. You know what must take place. You've read the books, you know on an intellectual level what's taking place. God is not a respecter of mankind! Wake up each day and bow down and give up everything , especially the self you are so in love with, and die. I'm sure the monkey minds will come up with all sorts of defenses to protect itself-no problem. Man is vain and has not learned the most valuable lesson- that it has nothing to do with him. BE STILL AND KNOW THAT I AM GOD---that has nothing to do with you and all your metaphysical rational and pontifications. And by the way God doesn't care one iota if you continue in this gibberish. For It knows there is only IT and doesn't need your assertions and affirmations about what IT is. In 100 years all on this board will not be here. If you think your minds/thoughts can describe or understand what is- you are delusional and I really don't care what your monkey minds have to say even though you might think you have some wise words to dispell to the rest of us. You are deluded to think you know anything. Vanity of vanities,all vanity. All on this board are no farther along than the drunk in the gutter. But go right along and believe you know something! How bout this---try humility,compassion and selflessness without you in the equation. Good luck mortals, of the intellectual order. God is not in your corner-that's your deluded ego convincing yourself you have attained some lofty status.And don't give me this level of progression crap-no such animal-only in your mind!. Sorry to break the news but you mean nothing more than a pile of dog poop! And if your thinking about coming at me with I must have seriuos issues and am mad-you are wrong. Just talking truth which is hard to swallow. If we spent as much time on these boards in silent meditation we would not be on these boards! Doesn't it make sense that if we believe there is an Intelligence ruling or composing ALL existence why not go directly to that source instead of gabbering with a bunch of people! I'm sure you all will come at me with words and semantics wrapped in intellectual riddles so as to prolong the dying of self. By the way humans are not any more special than anything on this planet-maybe less so.Lastly I'll leave you with a couple of FACTS- the earth is 4.1 billion years old we, homo-sapiens have been on it for 200,000 years that equates to 2 hours in 1 year. And by the way the earth is 4/5ths thru in its cycle.And for all you braniacs on this board thats called astrophysics-check it, This planet is floating in trillions of light years of galaxies and other universes- so let' snot delude ourselves and think we know anything. Bow down to what gives us life in humility and love and worship IT and place it before your wives/husbands/children/jobs/money/possessions etc. Wake up and stop playing mind games. Game over, if you have the courage through GRACE! If you respond at least have the courage to listen to your response. GOOD LUCK YE MORTALS!

There is a real value to the mind getting, for real, that it cannot get it. As long as there is the belief on some level that it can get it, then it will continue to try, for that is what it does. And that belief is a deeply ingrained, visceral level belief. And so it must really be explored and seen for oneself for the mind to get it. Otherwise, it's just another belief system. Avoiding looking at the nature of the mind, or avoiding using the mind is no more useful than mentally speculating. What DOES work, however, is going with our own experience. If we actually describe our own direct experience as literally as possible, then we are forced to look at it in detail in order to talk about it. And that looking in detail enlivens it. Attention to direct experience always enlivens it, and that's where new things are discovered. No amount of talking about it or avoiding it is going to work. Being still and Knowing God is the result, not the process. And your descriptions of self describe an attempt to avoid self rather than become unattached to it. And attachment/avoidance are to sides of the exact same coin of unwillingness to really see it for what it is....
So, even if it's not through discussion, there is going to have to be an attending to actual experience and recognizing actual resistances that prevent seeing What Is clearly at some point....or else the whole thing really is just a waste of your time.
You seem to think finding this stuff is so important, but I haven't seen any willingness or evidence of actually working on any of this stuff. I tried giving you in a poke on the thread you posted because you asked for it, and many others poked you as well, but I have yet to see you address my or anyone else's questioning, which would require you to look deeper.

Life is eternal and their isn't a moment man or women ceases to exist, life is not temporary.
We were made in the image and likeness of God, God does respect us.
This is very negative talk, spirituality is not compatible with words like this.

A person can not be God, we reflect God, made in the image and likeness of God, but are not God.

These are not facts, just your opinions. A creationist would say the earth is 6,000 years old. Homo-sapiens been on the earth for 200,000 years have they? You were there were you watching them?

Jimmy, I understand where you were coming from (no pun intended). At times lately I have these thoughts that any more reading books or posting and reading this sight is just another distraction when I would be better served just directly seeing reality but then without some of these pointers I wouldn't be seeing reality as much. Paradoxes are all over this crazy journey that ends up right back where we started (so I am told).
