Gurdjieff had a name for the most despicable of men. I'm not going to name the modern Hasnamous, but yet most of you will know exactly who I'm talking about. Most of my family and some neighbors have gone absolutely mad.

"Hasnamous men are people whose wellbeing depends upon the non-wellbeing of other people". PD Ouspensky
Hasnamous (based on a Turkish word) refers to a person who is smart enough to see that he can gain power over ordinary people by using tricks, machinations and lies.
This description may bring to mind some well known dictators and that wouldn't be wrong but Hasnamous can be on a big scale or a small scale like a tyrannical parent or employer or false teacher. pg 151

...........bumped..........and I was referring to Present POTUS. Part of the definition of hasnamuss is that he (or she) derives pleasure from causing others displeasure. Present POTUS is the very definition of a hasnamuss. Gurdjieff had a name for the most despicable of men.
