Take a moment and pretend that you have a friend who has never heard of Jesus in any way, shape or form. How would you recommend that he/she learn who Jesus is ? In the most non-biased way.
Thank you in advance...

IMASEEKER I would say first read the words of Jesus only, some Bibles have this in red. Next I would say read the words of Jesus in Aramaic, the language he spoke. Next, read the four gospels in Aramaic. Then read entire New Testament in Aramaic. Next read an Aramaic New Testament which has a lot of cross references, and read the cross references as they come up. Next read the gospel of Thomas. (gnostic gospel). Next read the Old Testament translated from Hebrew to English. Next I would start with Volume 1 of the Philokalia. On second thought, start with Vol. 1 of the Philokalia, and then continue from the beginning.......

Indubitably. The first four volumes have been translated into English. If you look at the words of Jesus, he advised numerous times to watch (from the gospel record, what he intended by the words may have been and has been most probably distorted. I think the Philokalia corrects the distortion). The Philokalia starts with writings from the 4th century (and goes to the 14th century). Central to the writings is the admonition to watch. So I came to surmise that there was an oral teaching handed down from Jesus to the 4th century when it began to be written down (it wasn't hard to reverse engineer this, because of the numerous accounts we have of Jesus to watch, sleep not, stay on the alert, keep watch etc., and compare that to the writings from the Philokalia). If you read down only a few pages in your link, you can easily see this. Jesus was all about transforming one's consciousness......from ordinary mind to nous. That's why I changed my mind and wrote, read Vol. 1 of the Philokalia first, (to know what to look for reading the words of Jesus).

That which is born of the flesh is flesh, that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. You must be born from above. That's sounds like a transformation to me. If you believe me, I tell you, you will not die. That sounds pretty transformative, to me. Go through and make a list of things Jesus asked his followers to do. And then he says, If you keep my word, then.......... Jesus was primarily about transformation...........

How could you wrongly misinterpret a verse like this? you would enter into the heaven, that's what he meant by born again. He is not talking about kind of transformation. 23 That same day the Sadducee, who say there is no resurrection, came to him with a question. 24 "Teacher," they said, "Moses told us that if a man dies without having children, his brother must marry the widow and have children for him. 25 Now there were seven brothers among us. The first one married and died, and since he had no children, he left his wife to his brother. 26 The same thing happened to the second and third brother, right on down to the seventh. 27 Finally, the woman died. 28 Now then, at the resurrection, whose wife will she be of the seven, since all of them were married to her?" 29 Jesus replied, "You are in error because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God. 30 At the resurrection people will neither marry nor be given in marriage; they will be like the angels in heaven. 31 But about the resurrection of the dead--have you not read what God said to you, 32 'I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob' ? He is not the God of the dead but of the living." 33 When the crowds heard this, they were astonished at his teaching Read the above paragraph, here Jesus is talking about heaven and they are living like an angels and they no more see death.

IMASEEKER Simply contemplate the question, "Who is Jesus?" or "Where is Jesus this moment?" You already know the answer to this question, but it lies far below the intellect, and is only accessible via a deeper function of mind. Don't accept any second-hand information from books or people; all they can provide you with are superficial ideas. Look within yourself and discover the truth for yourself.

But how does one qualify for the resurrection? ..........And it's obvious that those who did qualify for the resurrection, didn't die, period. Jesus pretty clearly said, God is God of the living........If you obey me, you will not see death. Whatever the body is, it's just a body. Transformation is necessary to qualify for the resurrection, transformation of soul, being, consciousness, nous, all mean the same.

Who is Jesus Christ? Is Yeshua (Hebrew for “Jesus”) really the promised Messiah of Israel (Hebrew for “Christ”) of the Old Testament?” Is Jesus Christ truly the Son of God ....

Forget things to explain JESUS to your friend who doesn't know what the word is at all. Conveying here is just the fact. Anyone can explain any word out of any Language if that person knows the purpose of language and the common factors exhibiting in all of it. Phonetics is the major ground level upon which any Language is created. Since we have phonetics as a base (Language) and if it remains unchanged with respect to time. It's universally acceptable. Vedic Civilization is the oldest of all declared by the researchers all over the globe. It is given by proper, justifiable, harmony bringing(To every field, aspect, any creation) in a form as SAMSKRITHA!! It is based on only 2012 root words which is having the same quantities till now n will remain forever.
JESUS Analyse how we pronounce it. Samskritha is eternal Root words have same properties wherever it exists
Ja : Property of Transcending (GOING) Ee : Property of Power(DRIVING FORCE) Sa : Every creation and Non creation Us : (Here comes grammar) Us is modified for communication purpose of existence of English. But the root phonetics with proper words comes as "Asee" meaning THIS. This??It means the blend, the resonance. Lets Teach people what JESUS is from Our Source knowledge.
Some thing transcending or going (Anything will go or try transcending because its not satisfied there or want to serve higher purpose)
Transcend of form with a driving force in order to serve a purpose of realisation that entire creation and non creation is just ME blending with it to, RESONATE!! It : Referes to NATURE'S LAW
Since Bible has given you the properties of Jesus,Compare that symbolisation with the above given approach. It WILL END UP WITH THE SAME ESSENCE!!
