Hello all,
Upon checking out the list of spiritual teachers I found myself wondering about things. Admittedly, it was unpleasant to see my favourite spiritual teacher (David Hawkins) rated so low on the list. It occurred to me that these ratings were a matter of opinion(just as my favouring of Dr. Hawkins' teachings is), and, though provocative, they are no replacement for one's own spiritual discernment. In my experience at least, Hawkins' work has helped me to make sense of the teachings of Ramana Maharshi and Nisargadatta Maharaj. In fact, it was Hawkins' work that first exposed me to these brilliant teachers.
At any rate, I think Hawkins might deserve further consideration. From what I gather, the review was more of a criticism of applied kinesiology than a critique of the meaning that Hawkins infers from the data (however its been collected).
Of course, one can't be expected to read his whole library of writings(though ultimately they are all complementary works, as opposed to stand alone concepts/ideas)...so I understand that a re-review might be too much to ask.
In any case, whether a re-review happens or not, as this is a community about discerning the essence of spiritual teachers, it may be of interest to readers to see a list of spiritual teachers according to calibrations(as performed by Dr. Hawkins and his wife Susan). The calibrations in the second link refer to the map of consciousness in the first link:
