tonight tonight I'm a mid-tempo song tonight I'm the moon on the rise tonight I will sit here and smile as tears fall like jewels from my eyes tonight in the deep of my heart where love shines in darkness revealed where shadows retreat from the light and nothing is ever concealed tonight love's guitars on the strum welcome the entry of day where words come to die in the silence and joy comes to meet you halfway tonight with stars on the wane and sad songs are all that you hear where pleasure and pain come to merge to show that there's nothing to fear charlie giardino 11/11/12 Really really nice man.

it's easy to cry in public (nobody notices)
riding the subway down to a poetry group in Lincoln Center looking through some poems in an effort to decide which to read... as the content of the pieces concerned my wife and her battle with cancer a tear escaped from the corner of my right eye could have been a flood of anguished weeping for all the attention I received so engrossed were they in their electronics their iPads, their iPods, their iSelves I watched them as they watched themselves nary a head raised to look around them nary an eye scanning other faces I disembarked and walked the two long blocks to the parish hall of the church where the meeting was held it went well, a nice-sized crowd mostly my age or older... and we read in the dark air of a side altar of a church I read my pieces to a decent response and when it ended... I walked back to the subway
thinking, now I know where to come to cry so as not to be noticed...

now we're cookin'
the humble beef stew has many ingredients it's namesake, beef provides the dominant flavor
though the potatoes, onions carrots and mushrooms are vital and necessary additions add peas to top it off
thicken with flour or cornstarch season to taste... the possibilities are endless but it would be good to stop right there
but the noodles... oh the noodles... provide a base, a foundation for all that has gone before
with the least distinguishable flavor they tend to bring it all back home add a couple of hand made biscuits and heaven is yours...

Hey, Universe! If I ask you, universe not to lose me, you say that you will lose me. You will, because that has always been the cycle: what is found in life is taken again. So I ask you, universe, is there more? When you take me will you find me? For something so vast you can be so incredibly silent. March 2012 home to love we mostly deal in imaginary things thoughts, projections, conjecture dreams and hopes... and as valuable as they may be they are not always truth a good reason, I suppose... that the obvious is well hidden tucked away in plain sight in the center of our blind spot a good reason, I'd say... when an epiphany or revelation is reached it seems like something we have always known not strange or unfamiliar second nature if you will after our first nature has gone through a certain shift a change in perspective a prime reason I'd propose that when we come home to love it's like settling into an old easy chair he said his yoke was easy maybe there's something to that... charlie giardino 11/5/12 ;D (several other muses here but as they were not in verse they SHALL NOT be quoted!!!) ;D ----- lost and found with the silent sound that drowns out all tomorrows there is no room for misplaced mittens here we need it for the orchestra it takes a stew of instruments true to sound the depths of infinity lost and found go round and round? ha ha! always room for some hope at this desk always a spare cubby for a lost dream no worries though they fade away ... a thin reedy cry lost and found check that baggage here with us lay it down for a moment for an age if you want you can always pick it back up tommorow ... er ... oops! (lost the thread ... no tomorrows left!) ... you can pick it up *WHENEVER* "Paging Mr. This" "Call for Mrs. That" "Please proceed to the lost and found" "We found your AM's!" lost and found I do propound our function is so true when you notice the thing you lost come here and you'll find you Open all day Open all night Though our demeanor changes Like the weather Our level of service is consistent lost and found the white rabbits behind so fluffy so round winking swiftly into the deep the mad hatters words like a dark bitter tea left in way too long to steep you must have patience here theres lot's of stuff lot's of stuff to go through it all would take forever to stop short would be such a waste! lost and found no need to hound your spouse your friend your neighbor we've got it here that thing so dear so relax, you can get it back later take your time no pressure rummage through our cardboard boxes just take a care not to tear the other's well-gored oxes lost and found no watches wound here there is just one moment ... but listen clear ... and you will hear the words that minds end foments

broken hearts and love sublime
we are living in a beautiful time broken hearts and love sublime
my heart never approached fullness until it was broken, shattered the shards shone a brilliance I never could have imagined the crevices were filled with light and love poured in unimpeded blessings, blessings everywhere when you've been blessed what can you do but bless? my tears sparkle like diamonds on cold, crystal nights god is here with me I know this now... the question remains how did I miss this for so long?
we are living in a beautiful time broken hearts and love sublime

Sunday
my gratitude woke before me and prepared for me the day to welcome all the love there is and whatever comes my way
he went to put the coffee on and left me sleeping here to dream of loveliness and light he is such a dear...
when I got up, he joined with me and poured my favorite roast and served up very graciously some cranberry walnut toast
my heart was full as sun shone in through my Venetian blinds I got dressed and left my house to share in god's designs

CG ... 'Sunday' .. it was a lovely experience when I read this .. I had just woken up, this Monday morning, checked my computer for the time, had a look on the forum .. and although it was a work day, and no time for coffee, I noticed how bright the morning was, just as it was
