You may not realize it, but you are stuck at the exact same point most get stuck at. Why do you think it is that the failure rate is nearly 100%? I was there too. I saw no-self and thought that was it. I tried to convince/help everyone I knew. Before I got too stuck I had someone encourage me to go further. Realize what you are doing is extremely common, it's expected even. Yes I experienced this too. I ended up calling it the teacher trap. With me it exhibited itself by my having a superficial understanding of this, and then proceeding to teach everyone around me about this understanding......."Damn if only they would get it, I'd be saved" ended up being the underlying and unconscious motivation. When I had deep understanding, I then knew understanding was squat diddly doo-da. And at that point I knew for sure the only way I could help others would be to be beyond the need of help myself (stealing that from Niz). With RT though, no harm because if the seeker is serious, they'd realize continuing suffering isn't a great sign and move on. |

Hi Iris Just wanted to say: love your postings, love your avatar - nice pic. You come across as someone with more than 30 years under your belt. If freeing the world makes you feel like you are dying inside, and you have already forgotten about no you, then you are on the right track. If you're claiming this from a point of some Attainment then who am I to question that? But as I see it, the mind/body is a machine regardless of ego. When the mind/body does good, the mind/body feels good. When the mind/body does bad, the mind/body feels bad. Is that not how it is? Before I got too stuck I had someone encourage me to go further. This appears to contradict something in your 3rd post (yes I do pay attention  ) where you said: I don't want to preach, but I wish that I had someone like me to give me a push and say...

This is a great forum (spiritualteachers). There seem to be many posters here that are realized. Great pearls of wisdom flow through here. And other posters seeking realization have this as a place to come and interact. It is wonderful. The RT forum has issued a challenge of sorts, which is directly relevant to us here. Peter, I was going to let this thread die, but there is contradiction there indeed. Some clarification is due.
This was about 7 years ago, I don't have as much experience as you had guessed. But if you've gotten anything out of my posts then I'm glad I could help.
The push was in the form of the ending of a friendship. My friend didn't believe that I was awake when I tried to teach him. This angered me, we fought, and the friendship died. Months later that event would continue to haunt me. The anger inside me got me questioning things. I decided to loook really honestly at where I stood and something in my gut told me that I wasn't fully there. It was a massive blow to the ego but that blow lit a fire inside of me. I knew I had to keep going. That as my encouragement, I owe that to my old friend.
Regarding your question aboud mind/body, I'm not sure what you're asking. Someone posted a Jed McKenna quote on this forum the other day about what the process of awakening feels like. I can't say that this is true for everybody, but I think the quicker you progress the more painful it is (McKenna claims his method is about 2 years which is rather aggressive). It's a shock to the mind and emotional turmoil is a result.

Wow. Thats weak. You are so involved in your stories it really brings a tear to my japs eye.
Those stories are grat and you are all heroes on a biblical scale in my eyes and deserve the fruits of your heroism however rotten they may be.
Heres my story.
I detest people who cop out of reality and go looking for a warm blanket like liberation to keep them warm at night.
I went to ruthless truth to kick up shit. To piss all over it and show what I considered a bunch of new age pussies that life was hard and they needed to grow up and accept it.
Then I got liberated.
I saw that very few others were but I could help them. Not by wrapping them in warm niceties or absolving them of all suffering but by breaking them out of self so they could do the same and end the core error at the heart of all human delusion.
Not to destroy suffering. Liberation requires suffering in most cases.
I do it to end the suffering of others. Even before liberation suffering never bothered me. And yes I have felt the full force of it. I just don't see how anyone And this means you Karen and iris, could put their own bullshit story ahead of the siffering of a race.
Maybe it is because you have truly transcended the need to not be idiots?

Jealous where did you get that from. As I said your knowledge is very limited. It shows the moment you open your mouth. As the good book says. It's better to be thought of a fool than open one's mouth and remove all doubt.
Who me a seeker that would be something I gave up seeking a long time ago.
Seriously guy this forum is much to evolved for you and I mean this in a nice way you will always have a difficult time here unless you grow up.
