One of the illusions is that the present hour is not the critical hour. Etch it on your heart that this moment is the only moment we have. Emerson (a slight paraphrase) Great pointer. A related quote that I can't remember who said. "For those that seek the way, do not waste this moment"

Working Overtime to Get Rid of Something You Haven't Got
It doesn't matter how much energy you expend to try to free yourself from ego. Deny it, scorch it, ignore it and it looms larger by the day. The act of trying to get rid of it makes it bigger. I suggest you melt it with a chuckle and some love: Look at it with love, and chuckle about our wondrous predicament - that we go to the ends of the cosmos to find something that's ours already, and that we work overtime to get rid of something we haven't got. Soon even the ego, that stodgy ruffian we invent to guard the gates of our own home, gets the joke and lets you in. When you turn to thank it, all you hear is a faraway chuckle.

"I am," I said To no one there An no one heard at all Not even the chair "I am," I cried "I am," said I And I am lost, and I can't even say why

"'He's a grand, ungodly, god-like man, Captain Ahab; doesn't speak much; but, when he does speak, then you may well listen. Mark ye, be forewarned; Ahab's above the common; been used to deeper wonders than the waves; fixed his fiery lance in mightier, stranger foes than whales.'" - Herman Melville

the books we need are the kind that act upon us like a misfortune, that make us suffer like the death of someone we love more than ourselves, that make us feel as though we were on the verge of suicide, or lost in a forest remote from all human habitation- a book should serve as an axe for the frozen sea within us. franz kafka

Normally, we do not so much look at things as we overlook them. Alan Watts Yeah, the search for truth is usually the search for better alternatives.

Before you bake an apple pie, first create the universe Carl Sagan That's why baking has always seemed like way too much work to me.

Your task is not to seek for Love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.
