My wife hates this neighbor lady. She's a girl really. The neighbor is quite social and my wife is the opposite. My wife calls her a gossip. She is. But I get along with the neighbor. My wife snarls at me when I say hi to her.
My puppy,--she's eight months old now--we discovered is completely deaf, which explained a lot. The worst of it was fear biting. My hands were bloody every day. My puppy can't be out without a fence because she can't hear voice commands. I turned her loose in a field without a fence once. There were some tense moments. The wife wanted to kill me.
One of the wife's biggest complaints is that the neighbor lady is always hanging around with her big pit mix dog. The wife is afraid of these types of dogs. I pet the dog whenever I see them, staying on his good side. The young neighbor lady sits on the grass, on my neighbor's lawn, my lawn, all lawns with her big dog hoping to run into someone to talk to, probably hoping to run into my wife. It seems she desperately needs her approval.
Anyway, we were taking our dogs out for a walk in the park. My wife was loading the little one in the car and I was inside getting my old girl ready with her harness. The old dog started going crazy. I fitted the dog and got outside. I couldn't hear what she heard, because I can barely hear anything, I'm partially deaf.
My dog, my wife, the neighbor's big dog and the neighbor lady my wife hates were all sitting on the grass ten houses down from mine chatting. I thought I'd been transported to an alternate reality. Turns out my pup got away from my wife and started for the street. There was a car coming and my wife thought for sure it would get hit, but when my pup saw the big dog on the grass, it veered straight for it to play. When I got out there, the dogs were nuzzling each other and my wife and neighbor were acting like old friends. It's a strange world.

Didn't it occur to you that you may have already died in your sleep a long time ago and being kept awake (alive ) by consciousness in this present world?
