Liberation There'll come a time when there's nothing to talk about when memories a blur when things and places are no longer interesting when you seem to know it all and what's left in you is the urge to say loudly or in silence these words :Hare Krsna Hare Krsna Krsna Krsna Hare Hare Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare.

Liberating the physical self from day to day is like lying in bed all the time sleeping. But one can not help get up in bed, go the john to relieve that's been harboring the body for hours waiting to be thrown away into the bowl. Then there's this thing of wanting to be free from doing something to earn a living, fix and repair that needs fixing, buy food, water and medicines. Eat and drink to survive. That's not liberation. Its something else. Its like going to a tall building and jump. That's the end of what's left of the physical self, splattered on the pavement with all that blood and gory spread all over. Suicide is not liberation. Its that moment in space and time when one is totally free from mind and body.

I was talking to an old friend recently who has dementia, and this means for her that her conscious mind has largely shut down, and she accepts this situation happily. She has little memory of the past now and little concern for the future so she is very in the present. It is remarkable that the experience of liberation is available in any situation in life. In her case she is not fighting her condition - she is accepting it. In Christian language she is experiencing God's grace in circumstances that many people would fight against or feel bitter about. Thank you by the way for introducing the word "Liberation." I feel it is a so much more useful and helpful word than "enlightenment."

He says "the only way to be free.......is...to chant Hare Krsna, Hare Rama..." Well, that may well be a way but surely not the only way! People have become free in all cultures through many means, haven't they? - and still are! In my experience, silence is a wonderful gateway to freedom because it is often mental noise that keeps us from realising our own freedom, our own divinity, isn't it? Freedom to all.... Freedom to Hindus, freedom to Christians, freedom to Buhhdhists, freedom to atheists...........

I shall deliver you from all sinful reaction. Do not fear.”

I was a devotee on a Hindu yoga path (Siddha Yoga) myself once for several years but in my experience there are pitfalls to being a devotee, especially when one is a devotee of a guru. My own take on the devotee question is that ultimately one becomes as it were a devotee of one's "heaven within." I suppose this might be expressed by a Christian or Hindu as devotion to Jesus, God or Krishna, but personally I have become tired of religious language to describe the path to Liberation, a path which is available to all of us with or without religion.

I discovered Christ Jesus is Balarama, the elde brother of Krsna. He's the Sesa snake whom Visnu finds rest.. He's the original supreme spiritual master.. He's the one the snake Moses raised in the wilderness so that those who believe in Him will have eternal 'life So there are actually three God's, one and yet different. The father Krsna the son Balarama Christ Jesus and the Paramatma (Holy Spirit ) present within everyone's heart. Just understand these principles and you will understand all religions.

So you haven't 'abandoned all varieties of religion'? Doesn't your devotion to Krishna require that you follow the non religious non teachings?

When she says we go to Church and hear mass I go with her. Sing songs of praise before God. Take Holy Communion. But within I am Krsna conscious. I seem to agree with everybody, go with the flow yet remain Krsna conscious. This way everything seem to fall in its place. Try it.

Ah! Keeping the wife happy. That's a religious principle I also subscribe to! With the Internet /Google seem all questions are answered. One's liberation is there for the picking in this modern age. You name it you got it. There are however out there who read a lot of books on self - realization, spirituality mysticism, occult arts, philosophy, psychology, etc with associations from so - called masters become ready to preach the Good News. Nope I not that kind. All I know is that if one has reached the summit of being, compassion for all manifests, love for one's fellow - men, appreciating the beauty of nature and everything in it, this desire to serve others unconditionally.
