Yes Silver, those are my pics. As the man said in The Peaceful Warrior movie: "There is never nothing going on" and Haiku is a brilliant way to share that reality. Not sure if pics are kosher with these kinds of poems but I like the added effect. Since learning of Haiku a week or so ago I now "see" poems everywhere. Yeah, maybe it's a fever :-)

note to self... Maine always reminds me of Stephen King stories. ps. I don't remember too many, but I had liked the Dead Zone much. Luv the King, have you watched the tv series? I watched the movie, The Dead Zone the other day - very good.

Yeah, maybe it's a fever :-) The one with the red leaves (birch tree?) in the center is beautiful; incidentally, I liked the star-nosed mole better than the mouse but you can change it back - just a suggestion, heh. Once you get that 5-7-5 rhythm, it is like a fever. It reminds me of the movie, Bulworth. If you get a chance to see it, do so. Oh btw, I got the Eagles cd you mentioned to me - BUT it isn't as good as the one I heard and I forget where I heard it. The Spanish / flamenco had more flair in the one I heard. Is there another album that might have that version?

Is there another album that might have that version? When my dog and I left the farm after buying raw milk a little creature ran across the road in front of the jeep. It was smaller than a chipmunk and it had almost no legs to speak of but its tail stood straight up behind it. It looked like a fast moving turd with a tail My brain suggested a star nose mole but when I read the poem to my wife she said "are you sure it was a star nosed mole?" and I had to say "no, I wasn't 100% sure" though we do see them around the swampy marsh area up the road where the critter crossed, so I settled for a field mouse to be safe. I suppose I could change it to "Rodent crossed the road"? Not sure on where else to get that music. I've only heard it on the DVD of the Hell Freezes Over concert.

I really liked the way it sounded with the bit about the mole...star-nosed makes it sound sorta exotic - and I've only seen pictures of them but they are kinda unusual looking. No, don't say 'rodent, heheh. Trust your brain.
