the cycles of water on earth are the same as they were before man ever walked it crash against rocks in wind under a steel grey sky lap against sunkist sand at the toes of the pleasure seekers flooding the canyons after sudden rain or just a steady flow of sweet freshness that gives life
this repetition is soothing, not annoying it stirs in us a memory of what? of whom? of where?

If Earth is not a conceptual dream about the apparent correction of imperfection, then there is no other reason for such a primitive school. Every dreamscape can only contain opportunities for correction, why else would Intelligence involve and imagine itself, in apparent evolution. And Perfection/Heaven/Nirvana/This? can't evolve, past where it is without a perceived you. In another Heaven/Niravana/This.

Since I don't frequent the teacher's thread, I hadn't seen this. If Earth is not a conceptual dream about the apparent correction of imperfection, then there is no other reason for such a primitive school. If one assumes there's schoolwork going on, working toward improvement would be the only logical conclusion, but this is not a school and nobody's trying to learn us sumthin. There seems to be an inherent interest in experiencing, initially quite innocently without all sorts of complicated motives. The motives comes along after self delusion sets in. Intelligence, as we're talking about it, is not personal, meaning 'it' is not having independent thoughts, plans and motives about what to get involved in and such. That only happens when Intelligence touches personal mind.

Supreme Ordering Intelligence In the context of Pantheism (which I don't see as in conflict with nonduality), the 'teacher' is immanent in the entire universe, and this is also the student. Or do you see SOI, and then something else in which SOI is not immanent which takes the role of student?

Or do you see SOI, and then something else in which SOI is not immanent which takes the role of student? My signature says Panentheist, not pantheist. I agree, no conflict between pantheism and nonduality. SOI permeates the whole universe but is not confined to the universe. SOI is transcendent. The whole of the universe does not equal the whole of SOI (IMvhO). It is in this sense that I am not a non-dualist. As far as the whole of the universe is concerned, I am a non-dualist. SOI is the Source of life, life on loan. Our purpose is to unite with Source, but never as identity. sdp

Checked out the wiki on panenthiesim and I understand the distinction ... but there's this question: "does the distinction raise an actual difference from panthiesm?" ... to answer the question by "it's arguable", is a bit of an understatement.

I've never claimed to be God, and most of the others here you likely think of as "nondualists" haven't either.

This addresses E above also. Pantheism says that the whole of God equals the whole of the universe, both are made of the same ~substance~. Panentheism says that God exists outside the universe, is not confined to the universe. IOW, there is part of God that does not touch the universe. This negates non-duality. More in next post. sdp
