Humanity seeks to live... right?
Here in Australia suicide is the leading cause of DEATH in (White) Australians under the age of 44. (Descendants of the white-folk who invaded this land)
What went wrong?
What is your countries suicide rate in comparison to the above?

I think the suicide rate in the USA is somewhat higher than in Australia. The rate rose significantly (30% or more) as a result of the recent recession, and affected men 50 years or older disproportionately. In 2010 more people died from suicide than from car accidents (that's more than 38,000 people).

I recall one day going to a private school with a friend who had asked me to do an appraisal for tax purposes on a large printing press she had donated to the school. We were met by her friend, an older woman who was the head of the art department there, and I distinctly remember the pain and frustration in her as she revealed that her and her husband had hoped to retire that year, but had lost their entire retirement fund, a lifetime of savings and investments, in the financial collapse months earlier. She seemed as crushed as her dreams were. Now, she said, they will have to continue to work for who knows how long just to survive. It's no wonder that many would seek to escape their world situation through suicide in such circumstances.

Sisyphus, completely exhausted stands aside, sweat pouring scrapes and bruises burning the low thudding of the ever-immense boulder descending and begins the descent again noticing the cool air on his brow

Have you, ever felt so distressed and despondent that suicide was considered?

Last week saw the commissioner of Police brush it under the table in a flash. Poor bugger who publically asked the question at the Town Hall was the fly in the ointment.

Slaughtered them like flies. Some joined up for the Great Wars thinking they would pitch-in and help the British (them having become conditioned) and found when they returned, they couldnt get a Beer in the pub even when they were wearing their medals of bravery.
