Had my second attempt to astral project last night.
Last night, I got the feeling I did not want to do, But as usual, My body was really tired, So I decided to give it a go. I was lieing there from 15-30 minutes try to do this. Nothing happened so I though I would just give in. I decided I wanted to go to sleep, So as I try to sleep, I get this feeling that If I did it one more time I could get some progress. So, I was really relaxed. Closed my eyes, Let my body sink deeper into a deep relaxation state. Now, I felt this sensation in base of my spine, I put my awareness on this sensation, I lost my focus and it was gradually faided away, I got to the point that I needed to just let it happen, So I just was laying there. Now, I felt the sensation, it felt stronger, It turned into a vibration. Next minute this vibration climbed it's way up my back and around my head, and half way up to me leg. It got intense. So, I decided to open my eyes.

I've experienced the astral body in the dream state. I can't recall the number of times I've flown, fallen off buildings, been blown up, run over, shot, nuked, drowned, attacked by animals, been in roll overs, skied off cliffs, surfed tsunamis, etc, etc. Just never experienced it in the waking state.

The belief is that we all go out of body during deep sleep and remember it as a dream, if at all . Some dreams are from being out of body . Flying dreams , or falling then a jerk awake when your astral body and phy. reunite .I think naked in public dreams are from being out of body . Erin has some more info , s.f. has a.p. as a sub forum . www.erinpavlina.comwww.spiritualforums.com/vb/

Some people say that the body and the belief that it refers to something real is actually unreal. So from that perspective and I'm not saying that I hold that perspective. It's only logical that if you don't have a real body, then what is an astral body? Please feel free to evoke TMT.

What is TMT? The acronym stands for Too Much Thinking. So it refers to the mind. For some it means to shut up and be quiet. And for others it's the misuse of the mind. It can mean whatever you want it to. It's arbitrary.

The problem is the belief that what TMT is referring to is real. As in an "I" that thinks. So yeah, clearing the mind of an "I" is not going to be easy, since it is the mind itself.
