Hello
It is said that from great suffering comes self-realization, or at least an opportunity to discover who you really are. I have reached the point in my life where I am willing to give up all, in exchange for peace. The spiritual teaching that resonates with me is Ramana. I love Gangaji!
I have experienced moments of great stillness and freedom. I have loved deeply, but unfortunately my experience on the whole of life has been one of suffering, grief, regret, and hopelessness.
Have I come to the right place?

We can be a rowdy bunch and have known each other a long time, but don't be put off by that. We have good intentions at heart. Welcome! Maybe its time to let go of the grief, regret and hopelessness and invite a bit of happiness and joy in? Do you believe you deserve that? I've been here a long time, and as you can see, I still haven't mastered the quote button lol.

Where do I find my papaji? Everywhere AND nowhere. Anything you draw your attention to will bring you into the present moment, giving you the experience of presence.

Have I come to the right place? Welcome Robi. FWIW, you are ALWAYS where you have to be, and here-and-now is the only place there is, so this must be the right place. Ha ha. YOU/you can't go wrong in this regard because YOU/you are the only One here. Gangaji is an excellent teacher. Simply look where she is pointing (to what is always here-and-now), and put your attention there. If you scroll thru past discussions, you may find some topics that will interest you. Also notice the PM (private message feature) by which you can interact with forum members directly. Cheers.

Your honesty and authenticity about yourself is so admirable (and refreshing). You will be fine..this I know, because your still searching, and those who dont give up ~ 'make it'. Hope we can be friends..

Hope we can be friends.. Thank you Molly! The very act of giving up completely a few years back, began the shift in me. I truly had died before my actual death, and it was an incredible experience. I remember the muscles in my face hurt because it had an unfamiliar smile, and it seemed I had no reason for it except that I was part of life itself. I have learned since the term "Oneness", but at the time there was no understanding of what was going on inside me. Unfortunately, I have not experienced anything close to that pure freedom since, but it made one thing very clear to me; that I was not who I thought I was all these years. Now I battle the impulse to listen, or react to the distractions of my mind. The conditioning of my brain is very powerful, and I lose more often that not, but I realize a trickle of truth daily. I seek only truth.

Believing you are asleep you have experienced moments of great stillness, freedom, love, suffering, grief, regret and hopelessness. Upon awakening you will experience moments of great stillness, freedom, love, suffering, grief, regret and hopelessness. So yeah, you are in the right place love.

In my case great suffering was the begining for searching my thrue nature, I began in AA group, but at this point I think is very different to seek a personal relief or a sane ego, to really realice our thrue nature. Take a look on Paul Heddermans, Scott Kiloby, Gangaji, or Floyd Henderson websites.

Thanks to all, in particular zendancer!
What I have learned is that we are not alone. My thoughts isolate me, but my true self sees you all as myself!
