What is the difference between just genuinely not giving a damn about anything anymore and being 'truth-realized'?

Im not sure I would say that I am truth-realized but what I will say is that as my path has progressed my values and priorities have changed. What I principally care about these days is how I am relating (particularly to those I am closest too) and what I am creating. I care very directly about the quality of my experience in each moment. I would say that above all else I value 'peace', but I also value love, harmony, joy, play, passion, lightness and ease.

What is the difference between just genuinely not giving a d**n about anything anymore and being 'truth-realized'? The differance is slight, but important...one is apathy the other is unattached empathy.... Or said another way...I care very deeply in every moment...but in every moment what i care about changes...its not attached to anything...I care and let go in every moment...in the "just don't give a d**n" paradigm there is no care...no LIFE in every breath.... But they are close...take away identifying and judgment from I don't give a d**n and your getting close to truth realization...Becuase to not give a d**n about something you have to identify it and in a way your attention is still moving outward....turn your attention inward and don't identify anything to not give a d**n about...just observe without identification and judgment....not giving a D**n means you are close to letting go...so stay with it...but don't identify, don't judge, and just observe, preferably in an inward observing.

What is the difference between just genuinely not giving a d**n about anything anymore and being 'truth-realized'? When you give 100% of the attention to something, or someone, you are truth-realized... Not giving a d**m is what the mind does, when the attention is lost in thought... IMO Peace

This may be difficult to understand, but both 'careing' and 'not careing' are states of mind. 'Enlightenment' is completely beyond both of them. It is a feeling of infinite completeness, freedom and peace. Both 'careing' and 'not careing' may or may not happening upon that changeless feeling. Niether have any lasting effect.

I'm down with that. What I don't think has been mentioned is the way in which realization 'informs' mind. The goal is not to do away with states of mind or feeling or even ego, but to reveal it all for what it is. There isn't actually a problem with 'what it is'.

just observe, preferably in an inward observing. Where is 'inward?' Belly, skull, or thoughts?

I would describe inward observing as observing the very fact that we exist, independant of any of our attributes, and the very fact that we are aware that we exist. It's very difficult to put it in a way that everyone will understand, but give it a go

just observe, preferably in an inward observing. Where is 'inward?' Belly, skull, or thoughts? Observe what is observing is best...if that's difficult...observe your thoughts and emotions until they slow down enough to observe the observer....find the root, then reside there, and eventually let it go.

What is the difference between just genuinely not giving a d**n about anything anymore and being 'truth-realized'? the ability for compassion to move you into selfless action.

Observe what is observing is best... Why would one do that when one is the observer?
